Meta Platforms Incorporated has partnered with Sierra Technologies Incorporated, Walmart Incorporated, and Stripe Incorporated to create open standards for online commercial transactions made by autonomous artificial intelligence agents. According to SiliconANGLE, the new standard was introduced by Sierra co-founder Bret Taylor. Taylor stated that the framework is designed to handle authentication and help businesses identify purchases from AI agents that are authorized to act on behalf of users. [1]
