OpenAI has launched its new Decisions API in public beta on the GPT-6 Luna model, MarkTechPost reported. The endpoint accepts text and image inputs and evaluates them to return typed probabilities, choices, and numerical scores rather than generating freeform prose. [1]

According to MarkTechPost, the system is designed to streamline programmatic workflows where applications prompt a model and parse the response into a discrete label. The publication reported that the Decisions API processes requests approximately 10 times faster than the existing Responses API. [1]

The endpoint requires requests to specify three fields: the model name, the input payload, and the question being evaluated. MarkTechPost reported that OpenAI charges $0.10 per one million input tokens for the service, with no additional output token fees. [1]
