Artificial intelligence startup TypeSafe has secured 870 million dollars in a funding round that values the company at 7.5 billion dollars, SiliconANGLE and TechCrunch both report. Venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz led the investment round, which also included participation from Sequoia Capital, DCVC, and unnamed angel investors, according to SiliconANGLE and TechCrunch. [1][2]
The financing closed less than a month after TypeSafe released its Jev artificial intelligence model on September 15. SiliconANGLE and TechCrunch both report that TypeSafe claims about one third of Fortune 500 companies have already adopted the model. TechCrunch describes Jev as a non text model, while SiliconANGLE notes that the system is designed for enterprise applications that perform automated tasks. [1][2]
TypeSafe claims that Jev operates significantly faster and requires far fewer tokens than traditional large language models, TechCrunch reported. As FTMQ SI reported earlier, TypeSafe raised 870 million dollars to support the development of its Jev technology platform. [2][8]
TypeSafe is a San Francisco based company founded in 2024. The startup previously launched Jev in limited early access on September 15, 2026, alongside a 40 million dollar seed funding round led by DCVC. [7]
Unite.AI reports that TypeSafe will use the Series A capital to ship additional artificial intelligence models. The company aims to expand its alternative architecture as corporate demand for fast and low token execution grows. [2][5]
