Apple is unable to predict when stock of its new foldable iPhone Duo will meet customer demand ahead of Black Friday and the holiday season. ZDNet AI, ZDNET, and Android Headlines reported that the delay was confirmed during an earnings call on November 2. Chief operating officer Sabih Khan told investors that the company could not give a timeframe for when supply would catch up. [1][2][3]
The supply constraints and shipping delays come amid broader concerns regarding memory chip costs. ZDNet AI noted that reports from TechCrunch highlighted rising memory prices across the industry, driven largely by demand from artificial intelligence infrastructure. [1]
The iPhone is a line of smartphones developed and marketed by Apple since 2007. The foldable iPhone Duo sits alongside the current hardware lineup, which includes the iPhone 17 and iPhone 18 Pro models. [4]
As FTMQ SI reported earlier, Apple released the iOS 27.2 update in late October, adding Apple Pencil compatibility and dual camera support for FaceTime on the iPhone Duo device. [5]

- Apple cannot promise when supply of the foldable iPhone Duo will catch up with demand.
