London based artificial intelligence firm Isomorphic Labs is targeting cancer treatment through AI driven drug discovery, Business Insider reported. Max Jaderberg, the 36 year old president running day to day operations under Chief Executive Officer Demis Hassabis, stated that the company aims to create drugs that could cure cancer and make disease a thing of the past. [1]
The company was incorporated on February 24, 2021, and officially announced on November 4, 2021, as an Alphabet Incorporated spinoff from its DeepMind AI research lab. As FTMQ SI reported earlier, Isomorphic Labs has previously negotiated funding rounds seeking valuations between 40 billion and 50 billion dollars. [2][6]
Isomorphic Labs relies on advanced computational models built upon the AlphaFold system created for protein structure prediction. On February 10, 2026, the company released the Isomorphic Labs Drug Design Engine, known as IsoDDE. The tool is an AI computational system rather than a drug candidate, designed to enhance protein ligand structure predictions and binding affinity estimations beyond the performance of AlphaFold 3. [4][6]
The organization operates from offices in London with an interdisciplinary workforce of AI researchers, biologists, and drug designers. The company continues to deploy its computational systems to design novel small molecule therapeutics directly from first principles. [1][2][4]
