Cybersecurity researchers at Cisco Talos uncovered a new strain of infostealer malware that uses artificial intelligence to automatically profile victims. Wired AI and WIRED reported that the malware, internally designated as Volta-Autodoxer, uses commercial large language models to process harvested data and quickly identify high-value targets. [1][2]

According to Wired AI, the malware collects extensive personal and financial data from compromised systems. Stolen information includes login credentials, credit card details, Discord session tokens, and UberEats receipts. The software analyzes these data streams to automate the profiling process. [1]

Wired AI noted that research on the malware was shared exclusively with Kernel Panic. The findings demonstrate how threat actors are integrating commercial artificial intelligence tools into malicious software to enhance data processing capabilities. [1]
