Uber is expanding its deployment of OpenAI's enterprise agent to its entire workforce of more than 30,000 employees, the OpenAI Blog and TechCrunch both report. The ride-share company told TechCrunch that all staff members across its global operations will now have access to the ChatGPT Work software. [1][2][6][7][8]
The company previously conducted a smaller pilot program using ChatGPT Work, according to TechCrunch. That initial deployment involved 1,000 employees from various departments across the business before the decision was made to scale up usage company-wide. [2]
The OpenAI Blog and TechCrunch both report that employees will use the system for research, data analysis, presentation creation, and complex organizational workflows. OpenAI originally introduced ChatGPT Work in July as an enterprise-focused artificial intelligence agent meant for corporate teams. [1][2]
ChatGPT is a generative chatbot developed by OpenAI that relies on large language models to produce text, speech, and images based on user prompts. OpenAI operates the ChatGPT platform under a freemium business model. [10]
